Austenitic stainless steel: TP 304, TP 304L, TP 304H(UNS S30409), TP 316, TP 316L ( 00Cr18Ni14Mo3 ), TP 316Ti, TP 316LN, TP 317L ( 00Cr19Ni13Mo3 ), TP 347, TP 347H, TP321, TP321H, TP 310S( 0Cr25Ni20 2520 high temperature tubes (pipes) ), TP314 ( 1Cr25Ni20Si2 ), S30815 ( 253MA ), TP 309, 904L ( UNS 0f0Cr20Ni25Mo4.5Cu ), DIN1.4529 (UNS 8926, 254SMo, UNS S31254), C4(00Cr14Ni14Si4) , alloy 825, alloy 625 Material of the most common used stainless steel tubes (steel pipes) are Austenitic (or 300 series)stainless steels comprise over 70% of total stainless steel production. They contain a maximum of 0.15% carbon, a minimum of 16% chromium and sufficient nickel and/or manganese to retain an austenitic structure at all temperatures from thecryogenic region to the melting point of the alloy.
Duplex steel: UNS S32750 ( SAF 2507 ), S30432, S31042, S31050 ( 00Cr25Ni22Mo2 ), UNS S31803 ( SAF 2205 ), UNS S31500, UNS S32304 ( SAF 2304 ), UNS S32760 (SAF 2760), UNS S32707 (SAF 2707)
The most used Duplex Stainless Steel are the SAF2205 ( UNS S31803, 00Cr22Ni5Mo3N ) (22% Chromium, 5% Nickel) and SAF 2507 ( UNS S32750, 00Cr25Ni7Mo4N ) (25% Chromium, 7% Nickel); the 2507 is also known as "Super Duplex" due to its higher corrosion resistance. And UNS S32304(00Cr23Ni4N SAF 2304), UNS S32760, UNS S32707 is also in Magvant's product program..
Stainless steel tubes with material Austenitic-ferritic stainless steels or duplex steels have been in increasing use because their excellent mechanical qualities, good weld ability and their high corrosion resistance. They are especially well-suited for maritime applications and in the chemical industry.
ferritic and martensitic chromium alloys : TP410 ( 1Cr13 ), TP409, TP420 ( 2Cr13, 1Cr13 ), TP430 ( 1Cr17 ), TP405 ( 1Cr13Al )
TP405 ( 1Cr13Al )— ferritic for welding applications
TP410 ( 1Cr13 )—martensitic (high-strength iron/chromium). Wear-resistant, but less corrosion-resistant.
TP420 ( 2Cr13, 1Cr13 )—Cutlery Grade martensitic; similar to the Brearley's original rustless steel. Excellent polish ability.
TP430 ( 1Cr17 )—decorative, e.g., for automotive trim; ferritic. Good formability, but with reduced temperature and corrosion resistance. Material of Martensitic stainless steel of steel tubes (steel pipes) contains chromium (12-14%), molybdenum (0.2-1%), nickel (0-<2%), and carbon (about 0.1-1%) (giving it more hardness but making the material a bit more brittle). |
